Express an interest in becoming a Audit Vannin affiliate

Under the Tynwald Auditor General Act 2011, key functions of the Tynwald Auditor General include:

·       carrying out value for money inspections (section 6);

·       carrying out investigations in relation to the performance of any specified body’s functions or the economic, effective or efficient use of its resources when requested by a member of the public, by Tynwald or by a member of Tynwald (section 10); and

·       carrying out work to prepare reports with respect to the exercise of the Auditor’s not covered by sections 6 or 10 (section 12(5)).

The Tynwald Auditor General (TAG) appoints a number of Independent Affiliates to assist in the delivery of such reviews.

The TAG’s objective is to maintain a pool of approved professional, experienced people who complete specific project work within a specified time period to an agreed standard and cost.

He is particularly interested in contractors with experience in the following disciplines: Value for Money Audit, Investigations, Healthcare, Information Systems and Technology and Cyber Security.  The TAG’s objective is to maintain a pool of approved professional, experienced people who complete specific project work within a specified time period to an agreed standard and cost.

There is no guarantee of work for any individual and the selection of and management of the Independent Affiliates will be undertaken by the TAG, supported by two Assistants Tynwald Auditor General (ATAGs).
